Meta Ads for HVAC

Nobody on Facebook is currently sitting in a hot house. That’s the whole thing to understand before you spend a dollar here.

Search advertising catches people who already have a problem. Meta catches people who don’t yet.

That’s not a criticism — it’s just a different job, and it’s the reason we run this last rather than first. If your Google Business Profile isn’t finished and you’re not in Local Services Ads, spending on Facebook is buying awareness from people who’ll forget you before their system breaks.

But there are three things Meta does that search genuinely cannot, and for a shop with the basics already working, they’re worth real money.

Where this fits

The three things it’s actually for

Retargeting the people who already visited you

Somebody found your site through the map, read your AC replacement page, didn’t call. Right now that person is gone. Retargeting puts you back in front of them for the next two weeks while they’re still deciding. This is the highest-return use of Meta for a contractor and it requires nothing except that traffic already exists.

Selling maintenance plans and off-season work

Nobody searches “HVAC maintenance plan” in October. But they’ll buy one when reminded, and a maintenance base is the thing that carries a shop through the quiet months. This is demand you create rather than capture, which is exactly what Meta is built for.

Seasonal offers before the rush

Pre-summer tune-ups, pre-winter checks, financing promotions on replacements. Timed a few weeks before your market’s search volume spikes, so you’re booked when everyone else is bidding each other up.

The honest version

Where most contractor Facebook ads go wrong

Boosting a post is not advertising. The boost button is the most expensive way to buy reach on the platform. It optimises for engagement — likes from people three states away — rather than for a phone call.

Running “emergency AC repair” ads on Facebook. The intent isn’t there. You’ll pay to interrupt people whose systems are fine.

No offer. A post that says “call us for all your HVAC needs” is not an ad. Meta needs a reason to stop the scroll: a price, a season, a deadline, a specific problem.

No retargeting pixel installed. Which means every visitor your other channels earned is lost the moment they leave. This is the single most common gap and it costs nothing to fix.

Our approach

How we run it

01

Pixel and tracking first

Installed and verified before any spend, so the audience starts building immediately. Even if you never run a campaign, having it in place is free optionality.

02

Retargeting before prospecting

We start with people who already know you — site visitors, past customers, engagers. Cheapest and highest-converting. We only move to cold audiences once that’s saturated.

03

Creative built for a homeowner

Real photos from real jobs beat stock. Before-and-afters, your actual trucks, your actual crew. Contractors have better raw material for this than almost any other industry and almost none of them use it.

04

Offers with a reason to act now

Seasonal timing, plan pricing, a deadline. Something specific enough to be worth clicking.

05

Budgets kept honest

Meta is the cheapest reach and the lowest intent. It gets a proportionate slice, and we’ll tell you if that money would do more work in LSA.

Scope

What’s included

Pixel installation and event tracking
Audience build — site visitors, customer lists, lookalikes
Retargeting campaigns
Seasonal and maintenance-plan campaigns
Creative direction using your own job photos
Ongoing budget and audience management
Monthly reporting against leads, not likes
Proof

How you’ll know it’s working

Meta is the hardest channel in your stack to attribute cleanly, and we’d rather say that than pretend otherwise. People see an ad, don’t click, and search your name a week later — that shows up as organic, not as Meta.

So we judge it on a few honest things: leads and form fills tracked directly, branded search volume over time, and the cost per booked job on campaigns where the path is clean. If it can’t earn its budget against LSA, we’ll tell you to move the money.

For a lot of shops, Meta is the fourth priority and we’ll say so before taking the work.

Your budget is yours

On your card, direct to Meta. We never hold it.

Our fee, not your ad spend.

FAQ

Straight answers

For retargeting, maintenance plans and seasonal offers, yes. For emergency repair calls, search is better and it isn’t close.

No. Profile, reviews and LSA first. We’ll tell you that in the audit rather than sell you the easier thing.

No, and it’s the most expensive mistake on this page. Boosting buys engagement, not calls.

Less than you spend on search, and mostly on retargeting to start. It only scales once the cheap audiences are saturated.

Not for ads to work. A profile that looks alive helps credibility, but daily posting is not what moves the phone.

If you have a website with traffic and no retargeting pixel on it, every visitor your other channels earn is walking away permanently

That’s the cheapest fix in this whole stack. We’ll send you a free audit covering whether Meta makes sense for you at all right now, what your competitors are running, and where your money would do more work. Yours either way.
